Have you read or are you reading Something Other Than God by Jennifer Fulwiler? It is about Jennifer's amazing journey to find happiness and how she ended up finding Truth! I love conversion stories, they always amaze me. Admittedly, I am not that far into the book yet as my reading time is limited with everything going on around here, but I am totally hooked. It is written so well that it draws you in. I keep trying to find excuses to use the restroom so that I can have some alone time to read it! TMI sorry.
With the launch of her book Jennifer is putting on some contests to win some awesome prizes. I am all over that. Some of the contests are 1. a picture of the book in the weirdest place, 2. a selfie with the book, and 3. linking to the book in a blog post, just to name a few. So these contests got my wheels turning.
The weirdest place, hmmm.... "Well I have cows. Not many people have cows. I know! I will take my picture with the book, with the cows, who else is going to do that?"
Nobody else better do that.
I had a bunch of pictures and I couldn't decide which one to enter. I was going to flood Jennifers inbox with a bunch of emails of pictures of me with her book and two cows but I didn't want to seem weird. Because you know taking a picture of yourself in a cow pasture reading a book to cows isn't weird at all. Maybe you can help me out?
So without further a do (or is it ado) The Great #SOTG Photo Shoot
1. The peaceful, contemplative, casual, reading a book in a cow pasture shot. Nice. Am I right?
2. Daisy started getting curious. "Hey whatcha doing over there?" (I got up for fear of being trampled. See, I put myself in danger for this contest!!)
3. So then I was like, "Hey girls, come on over to the fence line and I'll read you my book Something Other Than God by Jennifer Fulwiler." And they were like "Cool!"
4. They were really enjoying it. We got to a funny part. They were cracking up. You can't tell but they were. Trust me.
5. Wait....SELFIE!!
6. After the selfie, Pepper, who is the little cow, bailed. Don't take it personally Jennifer, she isn't even a year old yet. I think it was just to deep for her. Dr. Suess is more her speed.
7. ( I ran out of "quick takes" so the rest of these go under #7) So, Daisy was really into it. She sat there and was really listening. Look! She even started chewing her cud!! When a cow chews her cud it translates to "Ah, life is good."
I guess she enjoyed the book so much she was like "I like this book. Let me try and eat it."
Seriously, she tried to eat it. Do you see the look of fear in my face?!
No worries. The book survived. It has a little bit of cow slobber on it, but it's all good.
Linking up with Jennifer at Conversion Diary for 7 Quick Takes!!
So funny? Did you win?

That was fun! I like #1, but I think #8 is more fun! Looks like Daisy is taking it all in. :-)
I agree the book is very good. I was cooking and reading yesterday and I haven't read a book this quickly in quite a while!

Oh my goodness!!! I can't even tell you how much I love this post!!!! I read that awesome book in two days and have already loaned it out. I'm thinking of getting it back though because we are going to Epcot tomorrow night and I think that might be a great place to take a picture of myself with the book. Oh do I miss you after this post!!!!
