I know the calendar still says it is summer. But it feels like fall to me. A front moved through this morning and behind it are the most beautiful blue skies, lower humidity, and cooler weather. The leaves on the trees are just starting to turn. (jumping up and down clapping my hands) I am so looking forward to fall here in Kentucky.
Nothing says fall to me more than apple picking. I have fond memories of apple trees from my childhood. Growing up as a kid we had apple trees in our backyard. They were my favorite climbing trees. I was so excited to find an apple orchard here. I packed clothes for the kids to change into, and when I picked the children up from school we headed over there.
not sure what type of plant this was. Anyone?

What a fun, fall thing to do! I bet it's fun getting to know a new area and a whole new climate. Miss you!
