Your Husband

Yeah Butler kids. I cannot wait to hear all about the games, the hiking and camping and Amelia's day with garndpa. Love to all of my children, Your Dad.

Joe looks so grown up in those pictures! I love the soccer pictures too!

I love the soccer shots. You and your camera do a very nice job catching them. I also love watching Aubrey at soccer, running around, effectively kicking the ball, and getting cheered for is so much fun. Not to mention the delicious boiled peanuts at all the games :-) It has also been such a great experience for her. She has begun to excel and this is a great source of confidence for her. I didn't think I would love soccer, but I do. The other kids are great, the parents are great, the coach is awesome, and maybe she will inherit her daddy's love of exercise, so she does not end up like the other 1/2 of her gene pool :-P
Your dad looks great. Please tell him hello for me and that he is often in my prayers. I know my dad wishes he could be at Aubrey's games. He really misses having his grand-kids around :-( Pray I can get him to move up here soon.

Wonderful pictures. Heehee, doesn't Joseph look a little tired just looking at the hike plan on the map? :-) Maybe I am just projecting my thoughts onto his image. I am tired just thinking about hiking. When he gets home please tell him I am so proud of him and that I want to hear all about it.

About Me

  • Hi, my name is Kirsten. I am married to my best friend and we have nine awesome children including our little saint in heaven, Thomas Joseph. We are Catholic, loving, living, and learning about our faith every day. We just moved to a fixer upper farm here in beautiful Kentucky. We also homeschool some of our children. I really enjoy COFFEE, reading, gardening, running, and knitting. I try to enjoy, laundry and cleaning bathrooms and sweeping floors. But what I really love is to be home, with my husband and children, living this life. This blog is where I write about the good stuff (mostly). Thanks for stopping by!

Prayer to St. Joseph

  • PRAYER TO ST. JOSEPH THE WORKMAN Composed by Pope St. Pius X O glorious St. Joseph, model of all those who are devoted to labor, obtain for me the grace to work conscientiously, putting the call of duty above my natural inclinations, to work with gratitude and joy, in a spirit of penance for the remission of my sins, considering it an honor to employ and develop by means of labor the gifts received from God, to work with order, peace, moderation and patience, without ever shrinking from weariness and difficulties, to work above all with purity of intention and detachment from self, having always death before my eyes and the account that I must render of time lost, of talents wasted, of good omitted, of vain complacency in success, so fatal to the work of God. All for Jesus, all through Mary, all after thine example, O Patriarch, St. Joseph. Such shall be my watchword in life and in death. Amen.

A Considered Childhood by Elizabeth Foss

  • As much as I am able, every day, I will ensure that my child will: * Live the Liturgy * Experience loveliness * Breathe deeply: Fresh air and exercise * Serve others * Listen to, contemplate, and exchange ideas. * Develop expressive skills. * Practice logical reasoning.
