You continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. I wish I had your address. I would send you all something to brighten your home. Thomas was so lucky to be born to you and your family. I'm sure that your mother was there to welcome him home.

So sorry to hear of your loss. We are praying for all of you.

Maryan VW

I'm so sorry. I'm praying for you all. I'm so so sorry!

Praying and praying and praying for you, brave and loving mama. And I am certain your sweet Thomas is praying for you too, right from the arms of Jesus.

Anna Heitkemper

Prayers for you and your family. It's such a heart-wrenchingly painful time, but God will bring you all through. Give yourself time to truly grieve. Let us know what we can do to help you through.

Colleen Kenney

Our prayers will continue. I know this must be so incredibly difficult. I don't get to talk to you often, but I think of you and pray for you so much.

Mary Ellen Brandi

Dear Terry and Kirsten,

God found you faithful and worthy to carry the greatest cross in this life - the loss of your child - who is safely in the arms of Our Father. Well done good and faithful servants. All of our love and prayers are with you. The Brandi family

I have been praying and will continue! You are a shining example of LIFE whatever the cost, and whatever the sacrifice! I know your heart is hurting, and we are hurting with you. I pray your physical recovery will be swift. And that your heart will mend and be stronger than ever! (have you thought about pumping and donating milk to NICU babies? Just a thought, but I can understand too how that might be too painful) Love you Kirsten, Marissa

Terry and Kirsten and family:
We send our condolences and prayers for you during this sad time.
It is difficult to imagine all that you have been through.
May God Bless your family and bring you closer together and ultimately closer to Him.

I followed Jennie Cooper's prayer request and I want you to know that I will pray for your family at this incredibly sad time for you. May your grief be gentle.

So thankful for every sweet moment you all shared with Thomas Joseph. I woke up at 2:00 a.m. and saw your late night post - was rejoicing and continuing to pray. I am thankful that in the midst of your heartache and pain, that you grieve with great hope as well. Praying my friend...

Teresa Knight

I'm sure Thomas is smiling down on all your family right now thanking God for giving him a family that gave him such a precious, although sadly for you all, short life.

About Me

  • Hi, my name is Kirsten. I am married to my best friend and we have nine awesome children including our little saint in heaven, Thomas Joseph. We are Catholic, loving, living, and learning about our faith every day. We just moved to a fixer upper farm here in beautiful Kentucky. We also homeschool some of our children. I really enjoy COFFEE, reading, gardening, running, and knitting. I try to enjoy, laundry and cleaning bathrooms and sweeping floors. But what I really love is to be home, with my husband and children, living this life. This blog is where I write about the good stuff (mostly). Thanks for stopping by!

Prayer to St. Joseph

  • PRAYER TO ST. JOSEPH THE WORKMAN Composed by Pope St. Pius X O glorious St. Joseph, model of all those who are devoted to labor, obtain for me the grace to work conscientiously, putting the call of duty above my natural inclinations, to work with gratitude and joy, in a spirit of penance for the remission of my sins, considering it an honor to employ and develop by means of labor the gifts received from God, to work with order, peace, moderation and patience, without ever shrinking from weariness and difficulties, to work above all with purity of intention and detachment from self, having always death before my eyes and the account that I must render of time lost, of talents wasted, of good omitted, of vain complacency in success, so fatal to the work of God. All for Jesus, all through Mary, all after thine example, O Patriarch, St. Joseph. Such shall be my watchword in life and in death. Amen.
