I finally feel like I can come up for a breath. Whew. What a busy fall we've had. Two boys playing football, a husband coaching one of those boys, four girls in ballet, a short cross country season thrown in there and well, I feel like I've been in the van for the last 3 months. It's all good though. We have also been adjusting to high school life and everything that comes with that.
I have tons and tons of pictures. I'm not sure when I'll get those up here although I really need to, this space is where I like to record the history of our family. I will as time permits.
Things are going well in our homeschool. We are LOVING Classical Conversations!!! What an awesome program!! We are learning so much and I am amazed at what these children can memorize. We have a wonderful community that we meet with once a week and this keeps us accountable. (I so need that) Mary Jane and Patrick are in CC's Essentials program and I am so impressed with this program. Grammar makes sense! They also use IEW. Love this program. The nice thing about the community is that Mary Jane and Patrick are able to share their writing assignment each week and get feedback. They love this and it helps to motivate them. Something I am not always able to do ;0)
Mary Jane and Henry celebrated birthdays at the beginning of the month. Mary Jane is twelve!!!! Henry is a year!!! This year has gone by so fast. We had a nice quiet family celebration. Mary Jane and Julia also went with a couple of friends to the mall and out to dinner to celebrate her special day. (with me very close by ;0) it was fun.
My Dad is staying with us now. He is facing some health challenges. We are thrilled that he is with us. Thrilled! But not because of the situation. :0( your prayers for my dear Dad would be so appreciated.
I have so much more to say and pictures that I want to post but as it is I am typing this on my iPhone. So I will hit the publish button and leave it as is. I hope to be back soon.
