The First Day

Yesterday was our first "official" school day. To celebrate the day I made the kids schulte cones. I just used poster board, rolled it up into a cone shape, stapled it together and then trimmed off any extra pieces. I also wrote their names and grade onto it. This was the first time I did this. They loved them!! It gave them something to look forward to, and was a nice way to kick off the new year. Yesterday was a great first day. I am quite pleased. We start Classical Conversations next week. We will see how all of this weaves together, hopefully it will continue to go smoothly. 

Well my time is up for today!

  • Hi, my name is Kirsten. I am married to my best friend and we have eight awesome children. We are Catholic, loving, living, and learning about our faith every day. It is who we are. We have had some big changes for our family recently. We've moved from a small family farm in Florida to a neighborhood in Kentucky. We also homeschool some of our children.
