We are on a little road trip. About two weeks ago we decided on our destination. We are now in the beautiful commonwealth of Virginia. We will visit our nation's capital also. I am so thankful that we were able to pull this off. As our children get older and busier I am much more aware of how precious time together as a family is. I am soaking up every minute of this.
The eleven hour drive over here was quite eventful. Poor Mia got car sick and we hit a deer. The deer caused quite a bit of damage to our big old van. We took it to the shop yesterday and had the headlight replaced. The mechanic made sure it was road safe. We will have the body work done back in Kentucky. We are all ok though, praise God. It could have been much worse than it was.
So, all is well. With only half a day yesterday we went to Manassas and Bull Run. I took some awesome photos that I will download when we return home. Right now we are on our way to Monticello. It is a beautiful drive through the countryside. We can see the Shenandoah mountains in the distance.
Good times!

SOOOO glad you are okay! And I'm glad you can continue the trip and get the rest of the work done at home. Have a great time!

Have the storms altered your plans? I just moved from Lexington, KY. Any trip from Central KY to the WV or VA area is nice.
Enjoy your time.
