Julia turned 13 at the beginning of this year. I don't want to let this time pass by without writing something down about who she is right now.
I was doing a deep cleaning of her room last week and while cleaning under her bed I found notebook after notebook of stories that she had written. I piled them up in a basket and looked at them. My daughter's dreams, thoughts, creativity, written in them. God gave her the gift of expressing herself in the written word. You can tell when the wheels are turning in her head. She gets an intense, determined look on her face and she MUST write it all down. I think she is so cool! You know what else amazes me about her? She is not afraid to try new things. She is not afraid to stick up for what is right and just. She fights the good fight, even if she gets ridiculed by her peers. She also started school this past year, but not on the first day like everyone else. She started on a Monday in November. Not an easy thing to do. She was scared and I was scared for her. Although, I didn't tell her that at the time ;0). She dove right in and handled herself so well. She is so brave and I admire her. If I could be thirteen again I would want to be just like her!
God has big things planned for you girl!

Beautiful tribute to a beautiful girl!

Sweet! So, so sweet. What a great kid. I wish your daughters were still here in Florida. My girls enjoyed them.
