From my cousin concerning Haiti

Dear Friends and Family,

 

I hope this gets to you before you have considered what organization you will donate to to help the devestated people of Haiti.

 

I am sending this e-mail and hope that you can pass it along to anyone you may know, to ask you to consider making a donation to Fr. Rick Frechette for his work in Haiti.

 

Fr. Rick is a passionist priest and a friend of mine.  He has been working in Haiti for many years.  He left Haiti for a time to study in the states.  He felt the need was so desperate for doctors in Haiti that he went back to school to become a doctor so that he could serve the medical as well as the spiritual needs of the people.

 

I will be traveling to Haiti to help him with whatever I can at the end of February.  I will be hand delivering any checks that I have received directly to him, so you know your money will be used appropriately.

 

You can make checks payable directly to Fr. Rick Frechette.  I have done this many times in the past and have always had my donation acknowledged personally in a handwritten note from him.

 

You can google Fr. Rick to find out more about him.  The recent hospital that Fr. Rick was instrumental in building through so many donations has been severly damaged by the quake.  Also three of their schools have grave damage as well.
