Thank you so much for posting your successes! I think it has been one of my successes just reading them and being so inspired! No kidding, I took notes. Really.

Congrats on the van clean out! If your like us (with 7 kids I think you might be) you have an extra BIG van and it is a HUGE undertaking to clean it all out with the car seats included. We are in desperate need of doing the same. We were able to wash the outside but the inside is a disaster :(

You've also inspired me to so that meal planning that I've been putting off for so long. Why I do this to myself?

But the biggest accomplishment that I applaud you on is the way you were able to turn around a tense moment with your child and making it a grace filled moment. Truly beautiful! Thank you again and God bless.

what great ideas! I am in awe of you!

don't underestimate your kids' ability to help with the family van. Ben has our kids clean it out & vacuum it themselves- i think it helps us all- kids included- to work as a team to keep it clean if we all know what goes into cleaning it.

notice i said Ben has them do it. that is because i tend to underestimate them.

About Me

  • Hi, my name is Kirsten. I am married to my best friend and we have eight awesome children. We are Catholic, loving, living, and learning about our faith every day. It is who we are. We have had some big changes for our family recently. We've moved from a small family farm in Florida to a neighborhood in Kentucky. We also homeschool some of our children. I enjoy reading, gardening, and running, and I just learned how to knit. I try to enjoy, laundry and cleaning bathrooms and sweeping floors. But what I really love is to be home, with my husband and children, living this life. This blog is where I write about the good stuff (mostly). Thanks for stopping by.

Prayer to St. Joseph

  • PRAYER TO ST. JOSEPH THE WORKMAN Composed by Pope St. Pius X O glorious St. Joseph, model of all those who are devoted to labor, obtain for me the grace to work conscientiously, putting the call of duty above my natural inclinations, to work with gratitude and joy, in a spirit of penance for the remission of my sins, considering it an honor to employ and develop by means of labor the gifts received from God, to work with order, peace, moderation and patience, without ever shrinking from weariness and difficulties, to work above all with purity of intention and detachment from self, having always death before my eyes and the account that I must render of time lost, of talents wasted, of good omitted, of vain complacency in success, so fatal to the work of God. All for Jesus, all through Mary, all after thine example, O Patriarch, St. Joseph. Such shall be my watchword in life and in death. Amen.
