Well, I made my mom's cold sauce the other day. It was delicious. I don't know if it was the fresh tomatoes or fresh basil but it had an almost sweet flavor. Very fresh tasting. I have all the ingredients but I am sad to say I don't have the exact amounts.
Fresh minced garlic (has to be fresh no jarred)
Fresh basil (again has to be fresh)
salt and pepper.
Mix all together. Refrigerate for 1-2 days to let the flavors get acquainted and serve over warm pasta with shredded Parmesan cheese. Super easy and super good!
